Since 2010, TissUse has shown proficient expertise in the functional coupling of human organ models on our HUMIMIC Multi-Organ-Chips, allowing organ-crosstalk for preclinical in vitro studies.

Our HUMIMIC Multi-Organ-Chip technology enables safety and efficacy testing of drug candidates, cosmetics, cell-based assays and chemicals. It is used successfully by a wide range of partners and clients (e.g. Roche, Bayer, AstraZeneca).

We have published our experience with 16 different organ models in over 9 different combinations on our commercially available HUMIMIC Chips in over 22 applications.

HUMIMIC Multi-Organ-Chips

Our HUMIMIC Chips are commercially available to connect up to 2, 3 or 4 organ models in one common microfluidic circuit. An on-chip pump enables a near-lifelike nutrient and oxygen supply to the cells. This allows for detailed studies of distribution and metabolization of various substances like drugs, cosmetics, chemicals, and food additives enabling the prediction of substance effects. Analyze medium samples, non-invasive in-process controls like microscopy and end-points like qPCR.

HUMIMIC AutoLab

A small research lab that allows for the automatic operation of up to 24 Multi-Organ-Chips in parallel for controlled conditions while operating and collecting data. Chips are placed in a sterile internal compartment with automatic heating with the system supplying nutrient solution to the Chips automatically. Imaging data can be recorded by an integrated bright-field and fluorescence microscope. The automatic analysis of the Chips ensures autonomy and consistent quality of the measurements.
